Mission Statement: The Dad’s Club of SCCA is a group of volunteer dads who are involved in various school activities to support and strengthen our relationships with our children.
What is a Dad’s Club? An organized group of dads who work together and coordinate dad involved events at/for the school for the benefit of the students.
Importance of a Dad’s Club: “According to research by the U.S. Department of Education, students with involved dads also have higher rates of academic success, fewer problems with truancy, suspensions, and expulsions, increased self-esteem and self-confidence, and better child-father relationships.”-PTO Today
Involvement examples: project day at school, Muffins with Moms, Donuts with Dads, read at school with students (English/Spanish), community event (assist an elder), father/daughter dance, Spring dance, fishing day, bowling day.
